Karina and Ben chose a very significant day to exchange vows 11.11.11.
I met Ben and Karina at the Bridal Expo back in February and feel like I have really gotten to know them well throughout the year.
They had a beautiful garden ceremony performed by celebrant 'Marry Me Megan'. We then went on a bit of a road trip for bridal party photos and then back to The Old Bundy Tavern for the reception.
Karina's best friend travelled from NZ to share this special day with a truly special couple.

Nikki & Josh celebrated their wedding last Saturday at Nielson Park, Bargara. Poor Nikki had no sleep the night before, with her son being ill at the hospital. She was the most amazing bride and never complained, even though she must have been dead on her feet. She looked amazing. Kayla from Kayla's expertise did a great job on hair and make-up and a few cans of red bull helped her get through the day!
The wedding theme was turtles and Nikki put all the fine details together so beautifully.

What started out as a 30 knot windy, very cold day, turned into a beautiful spring afternoon.

Joanne & Jason had their pregnancy shoot about a month ago. On Monday they returned to the studio with the most adorable little baby boy named Connor. I didn't want him to leave. He was so relaxed, being only a week old. This is sooooo the best time to photograph newborns. I know it might sometimes seem hard to drag yourself out of the house so soon after the birth when you are sleep deprived but it is so worth it when you see the images that can be created.

I first met Carley and Scott when they came my studio to tell me all about their exciting wedding plans, back in 2009. Since that time I have seen them on a regular basis and have really got to know them well as a couple. Their wedding day finally arrived and was just as magical as they had planned.
The girls got ready at The Quality Hotel Burnett Riverside and from there we travelled to Fairymead Gardens for a beautiful ceremony by Megan Kelly.
After a few photos in the gardens, we headed to Bargara for beach shots. Carley and Scott had a really fun bridal party and there was never a dull moment!

He's such a gorgeous little man and soooooo photogenic! Wasn't sure how the wings shots would go at 12 months but Mum Holly really wanted the newborn, 6 months and 12 months shots with wings. Jeni & Michael had been planning their wedding day for so long. Everything was mapped out to perfection except the weather! It rained the entire day but they were not going to let that stop them from having an awesome day. We had to do a lot of indoor photography but with the help of some umbrellas and gumboots we headed out to a farm for some bridal party shots. No one complained about the rain or mud. What an awesome group.
I finally finished editing the images today (hope I haven't missed any rain drops or mud!).

Brett & Bron chose the most popular date for weddings since 1867 for their Caloundra wedding. It just so happended that the day would provide the worst weather most likely since 1867!!
These two are so much in love, nothing could have fazed them on their special day. The entire bridal party and a lot of the gusest had travelled from Victoria for the wedding.
We managed to get some great indoor photos at the Gemini Resort at Golden Beach and some wind swept ones outside Tides restaurant where their reception was held.
Bron looked absolutely gorgeous as did her bridesmaids and cute little flower girls.
I had the best day photographing their wedding depsite the elements!

Tara and Shane chose one of the worst weekends of the year to be married, weather wise. From the photos you would hardly know that we were contending with 30 knot winds at the ceremony and on the beach! Fortunately the rain held off and the day ran smoothly. The happy couple tied the knot at Bill Stockwell Park at Elliott Heads, with their reception being held at The Old Bundy Tavern.
Tara chose the most gorgeous purple colour for her theme.

Melita & Jason's wedding was to take place at Queens Park in Maryborough. Rain prevented this from happening but The Brolga Theatre provided a perfect alternate backdrop.

I was really happy to be asked to photograph Lynne and her family on Friday in Coolum at Pt Arkwright as I had photographed the family 3 years ago at the same location and now they have 2 new additions so it was great to see them all again and meet the 2 littlies!. With some help from Shelly at SM Photography, we managed to get some awesome shots of the 4 boys who kept us on our toes!

Tamantha & Scott chose Friday 28th May to tie the knot at Riverside Retreat.
What should have been a lovely sunny day with a full moon at night, turned out to be an overcast and rainy, miserable day.
The happy couple's spirits were certainly not dampered and with a slight change to the ceremony location, the wedding went ahead.
Photos were all taken on a tripod due to the very low level of light but at least the rain stopped for a hwile so we could go outside. It made for some interesting images.

Sam & Brad celebrated their second wedding in Childers on Saturday, with all of their friends and family who were unable to make it to Perth for their first wedding.
Celebrant Julie Green performed a candle ceremony at their reception in front of 80 guests.

Last Friday I had the pleasure of photographing Samantha & Brad's wedding at Abbey Beach Resort, Geographe Bay, WA.
It was awesome to be able to photograph a new location right across the country. The sun setting over the water as opposed to over land in Queensland made for some spectacular sunset shots.

The colours Sam chose for her theme were just beautiful.

Jaimea decided to have a 'trash the dress' session in the afternoon after her wedding reception was over.
She & Grant got more than they bargained for when a huge wave knocked them into the water unexpectedly. Fortunately I was poised and ready with the camera to capture the once in a lifetime memories for them!. This shoot was definitely one of the highlights of my career.
Jaimea & Grant are such a wonderful 'in love couple' and it was such a privelege to share their special day with them.

I had the most fabulous day yesterday photographing Jaimea & Grant's wedding which was held at Baltimores at The Port. The rain held off and the clouds provided the perfect light for their morning wedding.
Jaimea looked absolutely stunning as did her bridesmaids.
The entire day was just amazing and I can't wait to get to work on editing the rest of the images.
Jaimea had a 'trash the dress shoot' in the afternoon so check in again tomorrow for images from that shoot.

Saturday was a beautiful day just fit for two beautiful people to be married. Kirsty & Anthony chose Coral Cove Resort to exchange thier vows. A moving ceremony was conducted by Donna Trask. There were only 27 guests which made for a very intimate gathering. It was such a special day for the happy couple to be surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Have a great honeymoon on the Sunshine Coast you two!

On 2nd January I drove out to Childers to Sam's family property to photographer her and her fiance Brad. They are getting married in WA in May and I am proud to say they have asked me to photograph their wedding over there. It was great to get a chance to know them better before their big day.

Sat Nov 21st was one of the hottest, humid days you could imagine but it didn't stop Michelle & Greg having a wonderful wedding day.
The cermeony was held at Clios Function Centre in Palmwoods. We then travelled to Maleny for photos and then back to Clios for the reception.

Michelle and her bridesmaids looked beautiful with hair by Uptown Hair Studio in Nambour. The pink and brown colour theme for the day was something really different and stunning.

The happy couple are honeymooning in Fiji.

I was hired by Jenny Gilbert Communications, a company in Melbourne, to photograph Mark on his cane farm at Calavos near Bundaberg. Mark has been using ENTEC which is a new nitrogen stabilising technology applied to his fertiliser.
The photos will be used for press releases and marketing.
Paul from Sunfam in Bundaberg also came along for the shoot.
Fortunately the rain held off long enough to get some great shots.

Wes & Leigh chose a beautiful spring day for their wedding. It just happened to be Halloween but there were no tricks, only treats as the day unfolded beautifully for them!
The fushia colour theme for the day was just awesome and they were lucky enough to have 3 vintage cars to ferry them around.
They exchanged vows at the Catholic Church at Shelly Beach in Caloundra before heading to Duck Holes Creek and then Happy Valley Beach for photos. The reception followed at the Caloundra RSL in the new Function Centre.
The lucky couple are honeymooning in Samoa.
